Background Checks

All members are required to have an up-to-date criminal and child abuse background check by the time they begin Pre-Service Training. If you have original background check reports dated within three months of your start date, we will make a copy. Otherwise, EducationWorks will obtain a criminal and child abuse background check for you. Most members and staff are also required to have an FBI fingerprint check which will be conducted during Pre-Service Training.

Some offenses may disqualify an applicant from consideration and acceptance. Applicants and members may be disqualified for not disclosing a criminal or child abuse history on their application.

All staff and members working directly with children are required to have a health assessment within 3 months prior to their start date and a TB test.
