Connecting with schools and community organizations as partners, EducationWorks helps bring a vision, services, and resources to attend to current needs, strengthen existing services and establish new programs.

Every day, AmeriCorps members and staff work with students, out-of-school youth, teachers, parents and other adults before, during and after school, and in the summer. With EducationWorks:

• Students are engaged in positive activities with responsible adults who help them stay in school, inspire their love for learning, teach them ways to solve conflicts without violence, give them a chance to feel good about themselves, encourage them to take responsibility for their school and community, and enable them to find hope in their future.
• Teachers benefit from strong support inside and outside the classroom; their schools become better learning environments.
• Community members work more closely with their schools and one another, and improve their neighborhoods.
• AmeriCorps members have deep experiences, extend their skills in education and human services, and obtain resources to continue their own education.
